How do you know what to eat? Ask Tony

Eating, that is the topic. The question I always get is, what am I supposed to eat?

I always hear, I do not know what I am supposed to eat. You know your diet (not fad dieting, but your daily intake of food) is the key to successful fitness. Eating is 75% of your success exercising is only 25%. That means alot. It means that if you are working out, and going to gym and really busting it but you are making bad eating choices then you are wasting your time. Lean muscle can not appear if it is hiding behind a bad diet. So what are you supposed to eat?

Well it depends and instead of sitting here and giving you my tips and my eating guide, I want you to read this article by Tony Horton, fitness superman and creator of P90X and the new P90X2. He talks about how counting calories is good, to start but it can be tedious and time consuming and not something that you will want to do forever. Instead Tony says to listen to your body internally and it will tell you what to do. So bottom line You have everything you need to be a better and healthier you. No excuses. Beachbody Challenge: Are you Ready?!

Finally have me new workout room! Yay so syked! Alot of hard work put in, you know pointing fingers and telling people where and how things go is a tough job! lol I am loving it though, finally my own personal space to be motivated, and challenged. I am on week 3 of Les Mills Pump, the new beachbody workout program. I am loving it so far, I cant wait to see what the next months bring. I am starting a beachbody challenge, looking for a few people who would be interested and getting fit and healthy for the new year with a group of people to help hold you accountable on a daily basis. Blah!

Ok peeps, I cant say that I feel great today. I slept late, I haven't eaten the best today and right now I am sleepy. I am trudging through this day waiting for the workday to be over. But I also know that when i clock out, my day is just starting. Its not over and I still have the ability to fix what I failed at today, I can make my supper healthy, I will get my workout in, and I can focus on what is really important to me, my fitness goal, my family, and my banging Beachbody coach consulting. So with that being said, even though some days we fail and feel miserable the next minute we have we have the chance to change our attitude and our outlook and turn it all around. So thats what I will do. Are you having a bad day? Just remember we all have those days, but it is up to you to make it different. What choice are you going to make today?

Wake Up

Oh my! I love my workouts but I do believe the hardest thing for me to do is to wake up and do a workout first thing in the morning. How many of you are Rise and Shine fitness fanatics? It is the best time of the day to workout, because the chances  of interruptions are few because everyone else is asleep. It is definitely the thing I struggle with. This morning though I was awake, and I laid in bed and debated in my head. To get up pr not to get up, that is the question? I almost answered that question with a , not get up attitude. Then I decided, if I cannot make myself get up and workout in the am, who is going to motivate me me or help me? No one, I had to make a decision to do this, because I knew today was a busy day, and I wouldn't have time to squeeze it in between work, and homework, and family time, and supper. So i jumped up and I did it! Les Mills Pump, hard core abs. You know what?1 I felt amazing after. I made the decision to get moving and not just wake up my body, but also wake up my mind, my spirit, my motivation, and my confidence. Its that  one small decision that  day that makes a huge step towards my overall fitness and outlook on life. So what happens if we all just WAKE UP?!

Get Fit or Get Out!

I started my fitness journey 3 years ago, I had no idea what I was doing I just knew I wanted a change. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and I just jumped. I started weight watchers, and that helped me loose weight and taught me how to eat but it didn't get healthy. I lost 105 with weight watchers. But then I saw an infomercial for Insanity and I was like I have to have that. I had never done a fitness program in my life. I wasn't tone, so I started Insanity, and my results were amazing! I transformed my body and my health, I have never felt better.
